HIGH-ALTITUDE TREKKING

ZUMBAHUA TO ANGAMARCA

Day 01: We recommend beginning this trek on a Friday afternoon when we´ll drive up and over the eastern cordillera on a small and winding road leading to Zumbahua.

Day 02: We'll wake up early in order to visit the lively and colorful Saturday market. Afterwards, we'll take private transportation to the trailhead where the mules will be waiting for us. The trek begins with a gradual ascent through a beautiful canyon alongside a small river. We'll then pass up and over a high pass before dropping down to our campsite.

Day 03: We cross the valley and climb up one more high pass before descending to a remote village and then down to a cloudforest that takes us to Angamarca. From here, we'll take private transportation back to Quito or to your first scheduled climb.
